Lockdown Beauty Heroes

During those two months that I have spent at home during the lockdown, I have been trying to be as productive as possible. However, that didn’t exclude self-care and having plenty of time to try new things out.

Apart from introducing the argan oil, that I have been using on my hair (you can read about it here) I have totally changed my skincare routine. The product that I need to tell you about and that has entirely changed my skin is Bioderma Sensibio micellar water. It is strongly cleansing and hydrating and leaves the skin very soft. It removes make-up perfectly and is perfect for acne-prone skin, so I guess it will be great for any type of skin.

Another product that I have introduced into my routine is a new moisturising cream. I used to use Clinique Moisture Surge for quite a long time but my skin kind of got used to it and it wasn’t that effective anymore. By trying out a couple of other products I have finally found out about Neutrogena Hydro Boost. I was always really happy about their products, especially hand creams, but this one also hasn’t disappointed me. It is lightweight and water-based what makes it strongly hydrating and easy to apply.

A skincare product which is also worth recommending is a Boscia Luminizing Black Mask. It’s a peel-off type mask that leaves your skin brighten up and clean. It helps to reduce the visibility of blackheads and open pores. The only thing that you need to be careful about is to not apply it on your hairline or near your eyebrows, it’s a really strong peel-off so it may rip out your hair. But apart from that it is really effective and leaves your skin radiant and pure.

Another product that is definitely a true hero is from Origins. The Super Spot Remover is an acne spot treatment, that is supposed to fasten the healing process. It is strongly antibacterial and detoxifying. I always apply it on a cleansed skin and leave overnight and in the morning the spots are gone.

Now something from the makeup category. Alongside with my argan oil, I have also ordered a foundation from The Ordinary range. The Serum Foundation is medium-coverage but for me, it is just perfect. It is lightweight with a kind of watery consistency, and it is best to apply it with a Beauty Blender. It is great for acne-prone skin and doesn't block your pores. Its great asset is thorough hydration without too much shine.

The last product that I wanted to tell you about is a self-tan product from St. Tropez. I know that not everyone is into fake tan mostly because they're scared of the scent and weird orange shade. However, this is not the case when it comes to St. Tropez. My choice was a Gradual Tan Classic mousse, which if you use regularly builds up a perfect sun-kissed and natural skin tone. I use it mostly to even up the look of my skin so it’s the same as the parts that I do expose for the sun. My skin is quite thin so all the veins are easily visible. But a colour that is a little bit darker makes me feel better and my skin looks more healthy.
That's all for today. I truly loved all the products from the post and I'm sure they will stay with me for a long time. I'm really curious if you have used any of these products or if you are about to, let me know in the comments below!
